A Personal Note,

It is always a little strange talking about ourselves, right? But it is our story that makes us who we are, and it is helpful to take a look back and see the growth. I am truly thankful for the privilege of journeying through the past 25 years with my husband. We have a blended family of “Yours, Mine & Ours.” Together we have five adult children and sixteen grandchildren! We have lived most of our life near the Lake Lanier area in northeast Georgia.
I enjoy coaching , sailing, traveling, writing poetry, all kinds of music, and spending time with my family! Like many people, I find true inspiration and refreshment when I am outside in nature. I think one of the things that really made the last twenty-five plus years work for our marriage and family was being outside so much of the time in the sailing business. We worked extremely hard but had the reward of being around the lake for most days out of the year.
I am a follower of Christ and believe that when we learn more about Who created us, we have a much deeper understanding of who we are. One of the driving factors in my life was and is… to keep knowing more about my own identity. This has given me a real passion for helping individuals find their own voice and help their strengths to become front and center in their lives. Breakthrough in goals can happen when freedom, true identity, and peace are present.
It is a fact that when individuals feel they have a voice and can grow in their own strengths within the circle of peers, a special respect and cohesiveness happens. And it strengthens the organization as a whole.
The combination of my entrepreneurial background and my interest in caring for people has really given me my authentic calling in life! The desire to see individuals realize their full potential and watch as they begin to see transformation take place.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesian 2:10

  Testimonials from a few individuals

Nilsa is a caring coach that helped me personally navigate through emotions, grief and reach goals toward wellness. She also is very skilled at emotional intelligence and literacy and taught a group of women at the recovery center I work at, Lightway Recovery, on this subject for well over a year. She is very skilled in her field, and I highly recommend her!

Brianne Yost

“Nilsa creates a safe place for me to share what I’m feeling and my emotions. I felt a weight lift off of me after one of our conversations, in particular. It’s wonderful to have such a Godly woman to talk to, to help me work through, and bring to the surface those things that I’ve been holding on to, and that have been holding me back. I’m so grateful that she is my coach.” Dawn Cooper

Nilsa is such an active listener and  she is able to give gentle and thoughtful insight. This quality is so important when one is reflecting on their life and sharing with another person. Her feedback is laid out very well and easy to absorb…which is what one needs when searching for guidance.

“Nilsa is an amazing life coach, and working with her the past few months has had a very positive impact in my life. I’ve struggled for many years with depression, anxiety, and social connections. The past year was especially difficult, after moving again for work, and then dealing with a lot of uncertainties. I reached out to Nilsa, and I’m so thankful I did. She listened to how I was feeling, asked me what I wanted to accomplish, and then helped me identify my strengths, along with actions I could take to reach my goals. Since then, I’ve become more proactive in taking care of my mind, body, and spirit, and I’ve developed a number of new friendships with my coworkers and peers. This has reduced depression and anxiety a lot, and has given me much more confidence. Nilsa has helped to keep me accountable, and she’s been super encouraging and empowering. If you’re looking for a life coach, I highly recommend reaching out to her. She really cares, and she’ll do her best to help you get where you want to be.”

Professional and Lay Background

I am a Christian Life and Business Coach at Crosspoint Life Coaching and a Certified EQ Assessor through Six Seconds, The Emotional Intelligence Network. I work with individuals and organizations to help develop relationships and also strengthen professional connections. I am also a student at PCCI(Professional Christian Coaching Institute working towards my ACC certification. PCCI is affiliated with the (ICF)International Coaching Federation.

Since 1999 I have worked alongside my husband in his corporate team building company, Lord Nelson Charters Ltd. In this beautiful setting on Lake Lanier, we partner with companies to bring focus to their company objectives. Using creative team-building programs on the water, we integrate concepts and goals into the activities. The coaching debrief at the end of the session helps everyone process, bring clarity, and forward movement.

In 2011 I began a small food business that helped to fill a service for Lord Nelson Charters and developed into promoting a healthy food selection for families. I still have a few clients today!

From 2016 to 2023,  I served as a client advocate for individuals at a non-profit center here in North Georgia. The unique setting focuses on the emotional & spiritual growth of individuals. In 2021, I decided to formalize my training as a life coach and continue growing in the field of coaching. I began group coaching once a month at a local non-profit ladies group around the topic of emotional intelligence and Christ.
In 2012, my husband and I had the privilege of working for WinShape Marriage for over six years. I worked in logistics along with my husband, as he was the captain on many sailing marriage enrichment cruises in the British Virgin Islands and Abacos, Bahamas. This time of serving and ministry helped to grow our own marriage as we really learned what servant leadership means. This amazing setting gave us the ability to use our talents and stretch us individually, and as a couple.

Truly, I have really loved the journey I have been on spiritually and professionally because of the excitement, creative bent and opportunities that it has brought to my life.
